ITINERARY
GUWAHATI – SHILLONG (ASSAM – MEGHALAYA)
Welcome greetings on arrival Guwahati airport and proceed to Shillong which is a 130kms/3hrs drive, en route stop to enjoy the scenic views of the Umiam lake (the largest manmade lake in Northeast India). Evening reaches Shillong and check into the hotel and overnight stay at the hotel.
SHILLONG – CHERRAPUNJI – SHILLONG (MEGHALAYA)
Morning have to breakfast and get ready to explore same day excursion of Cherrapunji (56 km / 02 hrs drive) and we will visit the Elephant falls, Shillong Peak (the highest point in Meghalaya) and after further drive to Cherrapunji and enjoy the sightseeing of Cherrapunji and visit the Nohkalikai Falls (the fourth highest falls in the world), Mawsmai Cave, Danthlen Falls and Krem Falls. Evening drive back to Shillong hotel and overnight stay.
SHILLONG – BHALUKPONG (MEGHALAYA – ASSAM)
Morning breakfast checkout from hotel and drive to Bhalukpong which is 310 kms/08 hrs drive, evening reach Bhalukpong and check into Hotel and Overnight stay.
BHALUKPONG – DIRANG (ASSAM – ARUNACHAL)
The morning after breakfast start drive to Dirang which is approx. 200kms/09hrs drive. On the way visit Tippi Orchid Research Centre. Evening reaches Dirang and time allow to visit Dirang Dzong and a Monpa village. Check in to hotel and Overnight stay in Dirang.
DIRANG – TAWANG (ARUNACHAL)
The morning after breakfast check out from hotel and proceed to visit the Dirang Monastery and after that drive to Tawang which is 150 km/ 09 hrs drive, on the way will visit Sela Lake at Sela Pass (13476 ft), Jashwant Ghar and Nunarang Falls (also known as Jung Falls). Evening reaches Tawang and check into the hotel and overnight stay.
TAWANG (ARUNACHAL)
Breakfast in the morning and get ready for a full day excursion in Tawang and first visit Tawang Monastery which is known as the world's second largest practicing Buddhist Monastery, Tawang War Memorial, and Urgelling Monastery (the birthplace of 6th Dalai lLama) Ani Gompa and local market visit. Evening comes back to the hotel and overnight stay.
TAWANG – BOMDILA (ARUNACHAL)
Early morning breakfast and start drive to Bomdila which is approx. 195kms/08hrs drive, after reaching Bomdila first visit Bomdila Monastery and Bomdila Point. Evening check into the hotel and Overnight stay at the hotel.
BOMDILA – KAZIRANGA (ARUNACHAL – ASSAM)
After a pleasant morning and have a delicious breakfast get ready to start to drive to Kaziranga National Park which is the 250kms/08hrs drive. Whole day journey and evening reach Kaziranga and check in to the hotel and overnight stay.
KAZIRANGA (ASSAM)
This day get ready for pre-booked Jeep safaris and elephant ride inside the national park. Early morning go for an Elephant ride (timing 5:00 AM/ 06:00 AM/ 7:00 AM) then return back to the lodge. Get fresh n up and have breakfast and proceed to visit Orchid Park, Missing tribal villages, come back to lodge for lunch. Evening interested for another prebooked Jeep Safari in the Western/ Central range of the park (timing 2:00PM/3: 00 PM) for 02 ½ hrs (also depending on the sunset as in winters the sun sets early in Northeast India). Evening return to the hotel and Overnight stay.
KAZIRANGA – GUWAHATI (ASSAM) - FLY
Morning has to breakfast and say Good Bye to this wonderful journey and drive to Guwahati airport (250kms/05hrs drive) for onward destination.
